Hi Alex, For my thesis I'm developing an "automatic" character animation system that ultimately produces some BVH files. I need a quick way to get these animations into a Motion Graph (or similar structure), and allow interactive control of the character. The AI Sandbox sounds promising, but I haven't been able to find a nice list of it's features anywhere. Before I shell out the cash for a premium subscription I'd like to know if it will do what I want. Is there a full feature list? or can I get a look at some Doxygen docs? Thanks, Lorne
Alex, I am a PhD student and I would like o upgrade my membership to a paid one (my university would pay for it). There was a problem when the "purchasing" departemnt tried to pay for the subscription from my account, they got the following error: "An Error Occurred. Payment Failed: The given payment information is not valid. Account-ID: 50528232 Core Error". Do you have any idea on what the problem might be? Does the cardholder's name have to be identical to the account holder's name? Regards, Robert
Salut Alex, It has been great meeting you at the GDC. I will probably see you in June in Paris. A+ Laurent Ancessi
Hello, I'd really like to see the recording of the session "AN INTRODUCTION TO AI FOR INDIE GAME DEVELOPERS", which I could not attend. Is it available online? Thanks in advance Francesco Rossi
Hi Alex, I wanted to post a question thread on the Career Opportunities forum, but I was unable to. In essence, my question was this: are there any, for someone fresh out of uni? I'm only too aware of the state of the market, with a lot of people out of work who have a great deal more experience than I, but I just wanted to ask because... well, it's blasted frustrating not to be able to get work. If nothing else, I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong. For instance, I applied to Thomas for employment at PathEngine (I didn't mention I was on this board; perhaps I should have) and received the standard "If you don't hear in two weeks, I'm sorry and good luck" reply. The two weeks will be up on Monday, and to be completely truthful I'm not sanguine about my chances given past experience with other job applications. Eh. I just wanted to ask. Anyway. Sorry for rambling. Thanks for keeping the great site going! :-)
Hi Alex I have some question about FEAR sdk, I've downloaded it recently, but I can't compile it. I use Vs 2008, that maybe problematic too, but as I see the main problem is around Boost lib, because it does not contain some files needed, i guess its been reworked meanwhile, can you please tell me wich version of the boost lib is needed for the FEAR sdk to work? Thanks in advance! Exhodus
I also read an article "The Secret to Designing Behavior Logic in Layers" it teach me to use a simple system to do the action by the system itself the AI outside don't need to care about the state of the execution, the lower-level system will remember the state variable.Do you think it's every similar to the commend system we talk about? I find a lot of article on talk about the every similar things and I am not sure whether it has some differents.
